Review: Riot by Tillie Cole

Review: Riot by Tillie Cole

Wow. Um. Just.. Wow. If I could have one wish, it would be that Riot would never end. I would wish for Tillie Cole not to end this series and keep Raze, the Bratva brothers and theirs loves alive and well. Yes, it is the most absurd request, but I’ll make it, crazy be damned. So if you haven’t figured it out, Riot is amazing. It is a beautiful story that concludes the Scarred Souls series.  It’s dark, gritty but a stunning read none the less. Tillie Cole is a master at creating worlds so dark and depraved yet are soul consuming to read […]

Review: Every Little Thing by Samantha Young

Every Little Thing is the second book in the Hart’s boardwalk series and is about Bailey and Vaughn, both of whom we met in the first book “The One Real Thing” where we see them arguing and mostly trying to ignore their attraction towards each other. Bailey Hartwell is the owner of the Hartwell’s inn and the descendent of the founding members of the town. She has  also  has been in a relationship with for […]

Review: Holden by Delores Fossen

Review: Holden by Delores Fossen

This was my first book by Delores Fossen, I have read quite a few of romantic suspense from the Harlequin intrigue line but hadn’t yet had the pleasure to read Delores Fossens books. Nikcy Hart is an investigative reporter and her current assignment has landed her in dark and dangerous waters. While looking into the disappearance of an senator, Nicky ends up finding out that the fertility clinic where her late sister and her husband were clients, had not only implanted her sister’s embryo into a surrogate but that she now has a nephew who is being held for ransom to be sold for millions. Holden […]

“Here you go, Leigh.”Mirabelle was extending her phone, which was good and bad.Good because Amélie had not managed to unobtrusively deep breathe, her shallow breaths making her feel light-headed, and she needed something else to focus on.Bad because what she was focusing on would be the profile of that beast. LUKA “The real world isn’t ready to handle our reality. How could they accept that the gulags, the drugs, and the Blood Pit are real? It is the stuff of nightmares. How could they believe that males are being raised as killers, for sport and greed? “Worse, it would surely implicate the Bratva and my people in too many ways. We can fight the police and the system here in our city, but we can’t take on the whole world.” Zaal shrugged and tapped the map of the Blood Pit. “We need a way in. We need a solid plan, and we need it […]

“You’re not the kind of woman who needs to make anything easy for a man. You’re the kind of woman who should make a man work for it. Make him work to earn your anything.” ~ Matt, Mister Wrong by Nicole Williams WARNING: This books crosses lines. It’s messy, wild but a good read none-the-less. The blurb lures you in, makes you feel like you are about to go an adventure. And that is damn well what you get. Nicole Williams delivers an adventure which is messy, wild and sort of twisted. There is something in the pages of Mister Wrong that makes […]
