Review: Miracle on 5th Avenue by Sarah Morgan

Review: Miracle on 5th Avenue by Sarah Morgan

I’ve read quite a few of Sarah Morgan’s older HQ books so I knew this was going to be good and it was! Sarah Morgan hits all the right spot for me with this one. This is the third book in the series, the series follows the three best friends who opened a event planning business. The three of them couldn’t be more different from each other. This is Eva’s story, the last one of her friends left single. Eva Green; the adorable, very lovable and a kind hearted heroine falls for the cynical, owner of a very twisted mind and lonely Lucas Blade. […]

Review and Giveaway: Beard Science by Penny Reid

Rating~ 4.75 stars So I’ve been waiting for Cleutus’s book since the beauty and the moustache and the more we got to know him and his shenanigans through the Winton Brothers 1 and 2. The more I wanted his book and I think one my favourite in the series (as of now).  Cletus Winston is blacksheep of the Winston brothers. He is genius, prankster, matchmaker and mastermind rolled into love. He also happens to really love his siblings, he really likes to mess up with their heads but he does love them a lot. His way of thinking is quite unique, he also doesn’t […]

Character Interview with Seth by Author Dianne Duvall + Giveaway

CHARACTER INTERVIEW Thank you for joining me!  I’m very happy to be here at A Fortress of Books, celebrating the release of my time travel romance RENDEZVOUS WITH YESTERDAY, the second book in my new series The Gifted Ones.  Often when I release a new book, I like to introduce readers to the characters they’ll find in it via character interviews.  While many authors interview their characters themselves, I prefer to let my characters interview each other . . . which poses a bit of a challenge for me this time.  The bulk of RENDEZVOUS WITH YESTERDAY takes place in 13th century England, and […]

KEELYN Maybe if I hadn’t spent the last six months slinging pancakes and greasy hash to hungover hipsters and avoiding the too-curious eyes of the cops who like to hit up the diner for early-morning breakfast, I would have noticed the ominous shift in the air. Before I came to Denver six months ago, my senses had been honed to pick up on the slightest threat. Before, anything that might be dangerous, that might put me in peril, had made my skin tingle, made everything inside of me vibrate with awareness. Now I had settled into a simple, dreary rhythm. Every day was the […]

Review: Rookie Move by Sarina Bowen

This was my first book by Sarina Bowen and it certainly won’t be the last. From what I know, both the protagonists had part in other book/s from the author but this can certainly be read as a standalone since I hadn’t read any previous books and it didn’t hinder my enjoyment at all. This was such a good read! The hero was sweet and the heroine really strong and I just really loved them together. This was one of those second chance at romance with your forever love! Georgia Worthington is the acting PR manager of the Brooklyn Bruisers. Georgia is determined to […]

Release Week: The Sexy One by Lauren Blakely + Giveaway

“I want to talk to you about the other day.” He sounds so serious. All of a sudden, the weight of my mistake crashes down. “Are you firing me?” I blurt out. His jaw drops. “What?” “I’m sorry,” I say, and the wild anxieties consume me once more. “I love this job, and I love working with Hayden, and I didn’t mean to jeopardize it by . . .” By making out with you? By touching you? By murmuring your name when you kissed me senseless in the cab, and would you please just do it again? He steps closer. My stomach makes like […]

“I have a plan.” We’re in the library of the suite. Nicholas is behind the desk, his hair falling still damp over his forehead from a recent shower, while James and Tommy stand near the windows. “Take off your clothes,” I say, dropping a stuffed backpack at my feet. He stands, giving me a curious, dimple-flashing smile that makes my stomach tingle. “I like this plan.” He pulls his shirt over his head—and at the sight of that gorgeous chest and ripped abs, I have to close my mouth to stop the flow of drool. “Should I send the lads to their room?” he […]

“Hello.” The sexy British accented startled Alexis out of her thoughts, and she glanced up, both alarmed and intrigued to find that the face that awaited her was every bit as appealing as the voice. The man was about her age—early, maybe midtwenties—and ridiculously cute. His hair was dark and maybe just a touch too long, as though he intended to get a haircut but kept forgetting. The eyes were brown and friendly, accented by trendy black-framed glasses. The chunky cable-knit sweater with elbow patches—for real—bordered on dorky, but then, Alexis had always had a soft spot for dorky. He had a bit of […]

Review and Giveaway: Getting Dirty With the CEO by Mia Sosa

Rating ~ 3.75 stars Daniel Vargas is the CEO of an architectural firm, Cambridge group. Daniel always present this facade to the world of happy, always looking immaculate and satisfied individual while the truth is a bit more complicated than that. Mimi Pennington is a publicist and an excellent one at that. She’s been working her way up to get the esteemed position of a partner. Mimi because of her upbringing views independence and financial security as extremely important and relationships not so much.  I really liked the chemistry between Daniel and Mimi. From the first chapter its obvious that Daniel loves to spar with Mimi […]
