New Releases I’m looking Forward to: June 2015

I thought I’d share the books I’m really looking forward to this month; I love both of these authors so much and their work. Psy/Changeling has been a favourite series of mine  for quite a lot of years (though I love all Nalini’s series/works) and I can’t wait to read Aiden’s story. I also love Julie James Fbi/US attorney series and Ford was a supporting character in one of the previous book so I’m looking forward to reading about him as well.  Shards of Hope by Nalini Singh (Psy/Changeling Novel #14)  Blurb Nalini Singh’s New York Times bestselling series continues as two Arrows find themselves […]

Favourite lines from Once Pure with Author Cecy Robson + Giveaway!

Favorite Lines from Once Pure Thank you for inviting me to your blog and for featuring Once Pure. I think what makes Once Pure one of my most favorite novels is the emotion that captures the Sofia and Killian’s journey. Below is a list of some of my favorite lines in the novel to give readers an idea of what I mean, along with my comments for each. “Controlled chaos was the best way to describe the scene unraveling before me. And no one owned it like Killian O’Brien.” Killian dominates the ring, and all aspects of his life, except for Sofia. She doesn’t know […]

Excerpt: Shuttergirl by CD Reiss

Excerpt I stroked his hair, waist deep in peace, all worry gone for the moment, and floating in no more than an ocean of gratitude. I must have been more vulnerable than I realized, or he’d reopened some wound with his kindness, because though my sweet reverie stayed, as the minutes passed, a layer of need fitted itself on top of it. I needed to tell him, if not the details, the outlines of who I was. “I want you to know,” I whispered, starting somewhere small, then everything I didn’t want to say spilled out. “I have stuff. I’ve never been to jail, […]

Review: Hades (1001 Dark Nights/Demonica) by Larissa Ione.

Review: Hades (1001 Dark Nights/Demonica) by Larissa Ione.

Review I never thought that someone can actually make me like or even have sympathy for Hades, I mean the guy is called the Lord of the Dead amongst other not so nice things. Cataclysm aka Cat was just recently kicked out of Heaven, now a fallen angel she works for Azagoth in Sheoul-gra (hell). Cat is trying to earn her way back to heaven. Though all she can manage to do at this point is make a mess at Azagoth’s home. Hades is as I said earlier, the lord of the Dead and is responsible for the torture and punishment of the souls […]

Review: Slave to Sensation by Nalini Singh (New Cover + Giveaway)

Slave to sensation has a pretty new Cover, I of course loved the previous one as well but this one goes more with the setting of the story <3. I love this series, it’s my top favourite series of all time along with Dark Hunters, so if you have not already read or started the series, do it NOW…you won’t regret it. Review A bit of a background: In the Psy (beings with mental abilities) /Changeling (shifters) world, in the year 1979 the Psy council decides to implement the Silence protocol because of the increasing incidence of insanity and serial killers in their population, […]

Review: Capture (EOC #3) by Penny Reid + Giveaway!

Review: Capture (EOC #3) by Penny Reid + Giveaway!

Review Rating ~3.75- 4 stars. This is the review of Part 3: Capture from the three part book called Elements of Chemistry. It is the story of Kaitlyn Parker and her Lab partner Martin Sandeke. This book starts off from the cliffhanger from the last book you know where everything went to hell and I wanted to scream in frustration. I’ve kept this short and spoiler free since it’s the last book in the series (p.s it’s also kind of all over the place). Kaitlyn Parker is the girl, who doesn’t like standing out. Martin Sandeke on the other hand is the golden (bad) boy, is that […]

Excerpt After what seemed an eternity, Simon saw his opening. The group around Maggie thinned so he moved in to hover at her elbow. She glanced up, the green gaze sharpening behind the mask, and he saw her shoulders stiffen. Blue peacock feathers twitched and bounced as she turned to excuse herself. When her companions departed, she said, “Lord Winchester. This is a surprise.” “Good evening, Lady Hawkins.” He quickly made the introductions and, despite her apparent displeasure at Simon’s presence, Maggie fussed over the legendary Duke and Duchess of Colton. “I am so pleased you both came,” Maggie said with an elegant curtsey. […]

Excerpt When the family had finished dinner, his mother drew a deep breath. “Cameron, your father has something he wishes to discuss with you.” Father’s brow furrowed. “I had planned to have that discussion privately.” “Absolutely not.” Mother shook her head. “I do not intend to take sides, but I will not be left out of this.” “Nor will I,” Grandmother said in a deceptively pleasant tone. Obviously she too knew what this was about. “Very well.” Father’s tone was sharp. “The rest of you may leave.” “I believe I prefer to stay,” Spencer said mildly. Thad glanced at Grace and Simon and nodded. […]

Cure for Diabetes Anthologies + Giveaway

I hope that you guys considering buying and spreading the word for the books, it’s for a great cause. xo Izy. Letter from Lee Child I’m a thriller writer, and a thriller reader, and hence a sucker for the classic thriller plot, where an ordinary man or an ordinary woman slowly becomes aware of a looming threat: someone or something is out there, close by, infinitely dangerous; or perhaps an intruder is already in the house, mocking, violating a sanctuary, or perhaps – really creepy – he’s been living in the attic for a couple of weeks already, camping out, undetected, silent, leaving odd nighttime […]

Review: Heat (EOC #2) by Penny Reid + Giveaway

Review This is the review of Part 2: Heat from the three part book called Elements of Chemistry. It is the story of Kaitlyn Parker and her Lab partner Martin Sandeke. This book starts off from the cliffhanger from the last book. I’ve kept this short and spoiler free cause one reaallly has to experience this book on their own. Kaitlyn Parker is the girl, who doesn’t like standing out. Martin Sandeke on the other hand is the golden (bad) boy, is that a thing? I don’t know, if it isn’t it should be. He’s the campus hottest bachelor and Kaitlyn thinks she’s nothing special. Though I’m […]
